Route 66
Someday...now that's giving my dream a definite deadline. But, I don't like deadlines-they are just an excuse for some overpaid and underworked spoiled brat to get his/her instant gratification at the expense of the blood, sweat and tears of overworked and underpaid underlings. 'Nuff of that-this is about a dream, not a deadline! Let's start again...Someday, I would like to travel Route 66 from Chicago to California, either in a roadster or on a motorcycle that I put together with my own hands. I would like to get a bunch of like-minded folks to join my wife and me on this jaunt, because in my whole life, I haven't done anything BIG...ever, and just once JUST ONCE, I would like to do something I could tell my grandkids about. Is this selfish? Yes, I believe it is, but I also think a lifetime of work should come with SOME kind of reward, and not necessarily a monetary one. But, the way my luck runs, by the time I'm able to do this, some natural disaster will have made this whole dream a moot point. Oh well, Dad always said, 'If you're gonna dream, Son, dream BIG!'
